The state of our muscular system is inextricably linked with the functioning of the nervous and endocrine systems. Chronic muscle tension, which accumulates due to sedentary work, impaired movement patterns and emotional overload, is perceived by the brain as a permanent physical threat. The body responds to this stiffness by activating the sympathetic nervous system and continuously releasing cortisol in the background.
Consistently high levels of cortisol are the main physiological factor in the accumulation of visceral and subcutaneous fat, especially in the abdominal area (belly, waist, lower back). Comparing Stretching with intense cardio based on the number of calories burned in a moment is a fundamentally wrong approach. Yes, during Stretching the heart rate does not rise to anaerobic zones. - Strict drinking balance. Fascia is a continuous three-dimensional web of connective tissue that runs throughout the body. It consists primarily of water, collagen and elastin. Dehydrated fascia loses its slip, sticks to the muscles and becomes brittle. Drink enough clean water to ensure tissue hydration, elasticity and uninterrupted removal of breakdown products from fat cells.
- Breathing synchronization. The process of fat oxidation occurs exclusively with the participation of oxygen. Holding your breath during discomfort blocks relaxation and triggers a stress response. Deep diaphragmatic breathing during traction saturates the blood with oxygen and deepens the parasympathetic effect.
